Blue Oriental Necklace June 5, 2008

This is one of the few pieces I made just for myself. I bought the blue chalcedony years ago at a local bead store, but couldn’t find a good use for it (isn’t that always the way of it?) It’s made from silver and blue ribbon with the chalcedony, obviously. The weave is an Oriental or Japanese weave. It curves gently upwards because of the different sized rings on the top and bottom. It’s kind of hard to clean, because I’m afraid of ruining the ribbon, but any time I dress up I wear this necklace.
