Sculpey Gallery June 8, 2008

Sculpey was my favorite medium for many years. I think I started doing projects with Sculpey in 6th grade (right about when I was getting sick of plastic lacing lanyards.) In high school, I made a series of mice figurines doing “people things,” like taking a bath or ice skating. I don’t have any pictures of those, but they’re still all at my mom’s house. I even sold my mice figurines in a local artists’ shop for a few months before I get too busy with schoolwork. I think I made $90 overall. I never made beads or canes; I wanted to make knickknacks. :) I’ve always loved the possibility of clay. Now that I’ve got access to the internet, I’ve learned so many more techniques to use with polymer clay. Sculpey Premo is my favorite, but I sometimes use Fimo or Kato if I need to. I’m happy to answer any questions about these projects. Click on the images to learn more about that piece. There may also be pictures of other similar projects.

I’m glad you like my website! I had so much fun with the sculpey in high school. Remind me to get some pictures of the “mice” so that I can add them to my gallery!
